Hop on and off, combining the bus ride with hiking, swimming or a boat ride on the beautiful Loen lake. Tickets are available on the bus (cash/card). The ticket is valid on both routes. The shuttle bus has 22 seats, no pre-booking.
Loen Shuttle is a measure to reduce the environmental footprint and simplify logistics. The bus has four daily routes from 28 June to 11 August 2024. Park your car and enjoy your stay in Loen and Lodalen Valley!

Adults
Daypass/NOK 290. Two-day pass/NOK 400. Three-day pass/NOK 450.
Route 1: One way NOK 140. Round trip NOK 240.
Route 2: Loen - Oppheim one way NOK 90. Round trip NOK 130. Loen - Olden one way NOK 150, round trip NOK 290.
Children
Children (6-15 yrs): 50% discount. Children under the age of 5 can ride the bus for free.
Note that the tickets are personal. Misuse leads to the revocation of the ticket. Prices may be subject to change.

The bus has 22 seats
With a day pass, you can get on and off the bus as much as you want during the day. Note that the day pass is personal.
Payment: Cash or card on board the bus
*Four departures to Lodalen, six departures to Olden, and three departures to Oppheim. The first and last route of the day to Lodalen does not go all the way to Kjenndalsbreen (glacier) parking. Arrival and departure at Kjenndalstova.

From fjord to sky in 5 with Loen Skylift
The spectacular Loen Skylift lifts you a thousand meters almost straight up - to the restaurant on the edge of Mt. Hoven. Hiking trails of varying difficulty. Try the zipline across the gorge.
Boat trip on beautiful Lake Lovatnet
Get off the bus at the quay at Sande and take the waterway all the way to the end of the valley. Enjoy a good meal, and join the bus back to Loen. Advance booking is recommended since there is limited capacity on the boat.
Rakssetra (Oppheim)
Rakssetra Mountain Farm is idyllically located as a postcard in the mountainside towards Mt. Årheimsfjellet. This is a hike that has become very popular lately.
Skåla - Norway's longest hill
Mt. Skåla, the beautiful giant, towers above the Loen Village. A path built by hand, winds its way through the rough stones, 1848 vertical meters from the fjord.
Breng
Close to Lake Lovatnet you’ll find Breng. This was a traditional mountain farm until around th 1950’s. Thanks to the great efforts of the owners and public support Breng is now preserved.
Kayak and SUP on the Nordfjord
Experience Loen from a kayak on the Nordfjord. Loen Active offers guided tours in double kayaks almost all year round. The trip can also be combined with a hike.
Via Ferrata Loen
Via Ferrata Loen is a spectacular climbing path that is secured with wire all the way and takes you to the top of Hoven at 1011 masl. You climb all the way with a magnificent view of the fjord, Lodalen, Oldedalen, majestic Mt. Skåla, and the mountains towards Jostedalsbreen.
Kjenndalstova Cafe and Restaurant
A restaurant surrounded by overwhelming nature and a dramatic history. Enjoy traditional food and a coffee break.

A beautiful mountain farm in wild nature - in Jostedalsbreen National Park. An easy and child-friendly walk.
