A YEAR-ROUND ADVENTURE ARENA

The project has been carried out by Loen Skylift AS, where Hotel Alexandra, Garaventa AG, Nordfjord Kjøtt and Stryn Municipality have been the the largest shareholders. In addition, several local companies are part owners. About a year after completion Hotel Alexandra bought Nordfjord Kjøtt's shares. 

The plan is to develop products and events based on our natural advantages. 

The project originates from the Spa and Conference Hotel Alexandra, Loen Active with the climbing route Via Ferrata Loen, the Gjølmunnebrua Suspension Bridge and Skåla Uphill Race. 

You start the ascent to Mt. Hoven (1011 m) with the Cable Car right by the fjord. When you arrive at the Mountain Station and the restaurant you will have 210 degree panoramic view overlooking Mt. Skåla and Lake Lovatnet in the east, Jostedalsbreen Glacier and Olden Village in the south and the Nordfjord that winds its way towards Stryn.

A variety of adventures will be offered - from mild to challenging activities on foot, or on skis.

The project has focus on universal design so that everyone can explore the mountains. Environmental considerations are important to us.
